2. Service Types and Refund Eligibility
2.1 Custom Development Projects
Custom software development, platform engineering, and enterprise CMS projects require a 50% deposit before work begins. Refund terms are based on project phase:

3. Deposit Structure
Initial Deposit: 50% of total project cost is required before development begins. This deposit covers:
- Discovery and requirements gathering
- Technical architecture design
- Project planning and resource allocation
- Initial development setup
Milestone Payments: Remaining 50% is typically structured as:
- 25% at mid-project milestone
- 25% upon completion and delivery
4. Cancellation by Client
Clients may cancel projects with written notice. Refunds are calculated based on:
- Hours worked and resources allocated
- Project phase at time of cancellation
- Deliverables completed and provided
- Non-cancellable third-party expenses incurred
Cancellation Process:

- We will provide final invoice within 5 business days
- Refunds (if applicable) processed within 15 business days
5. Termination by Echo Digital Architects
If we terminate a project due to client breach (non-payment, failure to provide required access or materials), no refunds are provided. If we terminate for our own reasons, clients receive a full refund of unused funds.
6. Quality Guarantee
We provide a 30-day post-launch guarantee for bug fixes and issues related to delivered functionality. This does not include:
- New features or scope changes
- Issues caused by client modifications
- Third-party service failures
- Changes to hosting or server environments
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
- Third-party software licenses purchased for the project
- Domain registrations and SSL certificates
- Hosting and infrastructure costs already incurred
- Stock photography, fonts, or other licensed assets
- Completed and delivered work, even if unused
8. Dispute Resolution
If you believe you are entitled to a refund not covered by this policy:

- We will review within 10 business days and provide written response

9. Refund Processing
Payment Method: Refunds are issued via the original payment method when possible.
- Credit card refunds: 5-10 business days
- ACH/wire refunds: 10-15 business days
- Check refunds: 15-20 business days
Processing Fees: Credit card processing fees (3%) are non-refundable.

11. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this refund policy. Changes apply to new projects signed after the modification date. Existing projects are governed by the policy in effect at contract signing.
